Yes, there are selection biases with where this is presented, how, wording (OSX/Linux covered in "PC?) and lots of other things.
Then we could start looking at sell-through rates for EA/Ubisoft/Activision against platforms, hardware sales, attach-rates (incl/excl Steam), estimating conversion rates from PS3 to new platform, and from EVE:Online to DUST-on-PC, current ARPU vs targets and migration costs, average platform-specific F2P conversion rates, etc etc etc ... but all of that is the job of CCP's marketing&Sales minions and their Finance drones.
All Grit Breather is doing, is asking what the current (and historical) player-base might prefer.
Now, to help this along, I'd definitely say to spread this poll as much as possible - Mention it everywhere!
If you know of a group of DUST514 (ex)players somewhere, let them know that this poll exists, and that if they have any thoughts on the matter, to go vote. It takes them 1 minute to do so, and every vote will help.
Heck, if you are friends with EVE players, see if they have an opinion on the matter (always PC?), remembering that anyone who would like to see the game continue in some form, should participate in this poll if even just to paint a picture of the community for the community. |
